James A. Rogers “Jim” is a retired environmental lawyer and an avid sailor. With no prior training or experience, Jim picked up a sketch book in the summer of 2008 during a summer vacation. After the sale of his last sailboat, Jim has occupied his time painting. He revels in taking workshops from artists around the country and internationally. His paintings are often inspired by the places he visits, and where he spends his time seasonally.
Although he only explored his artistic side later in life, his mother was a painter and his sister, Susan Jane Belton is a professional artist and professor in Boston.
